Cherries

The cherry has considerable amounts of fibre, which improves intestinal transit.

It has significant amounts of potassium and, to a lesser extent, magnesium, iron, phosphorus and calcium. Potassium helps nerve function and muscle contraction, and keeping one’s heart rate steady.

Consumption: raw, fruit salads, juices, jams and preserves, compotes, cakes and pastries, dehydrated, flavouring for alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks and liqueurs.
